Joes BBQs

Some time ago I did some design work for the team at Joe’s BBQs in NSW – long before this blog existed. The were after a design for their own BBQ cleaning product, and then the following year came back to revamp the design.  They have recently updated their website, done a TV advert and started a Facebook page as well. When I checked out the site today, I was pleased as punch to see the product listed in the BBQ consumables section!

Below you will find the designs for the first design (red and black option) and the updated can design (with the yummy looking steak). Make sure to check out the store in person or online if you’re in the market for a new BBQ or outdoor furniture.

Mouse Ink

Almost a year ago, I got a call from Georgie Burg who was referred to me by the lovely Natalie Bice. Georgie was very enthusiastic about her new business and wanted me to come up with the logo and branding for the entire project!

While the design and branding was complete some time ago, all the people involved with the project had to keep our lips zipped until all the material was trademarked. And now, at long last, Georgie is able to launch the website and that means that I can share as well!

It has been an absolute delight to collaborate with Nadia Turner of Wayward Harper whose awe-inspiring illustrations left me breathless (until she astounded me by casually dismissing them as ‘rough drafts’!) at which point I was rendered speechless as well. Also involved with the project was the awesome Samantha Pearce, whose magical photography makes the Mouse Ink vision come alive. While I haven’t worked directly with Penny Meddings who created the cute Master Creature mice, I did have the pleasure of having them live on my bookshelf and inspire me for a few months and I can assue you all, they are very inspirational. I think every creative person needs one of these (even though they are meant for children)!

Tonight was the official launch of the website, be sure to check it out http://www.MouseInk.com.au

Below you can see the logo on the left, the business card (front and back) on the right and beneath that the yet-to-be-printed, DL brochure.

Here we have an email flyer for a casting call and a series of posters that will be used to promote the business to various audiences.
