Jodie Lee Photography

Jodie Lee approached me to help her design a brand for her photography business, Jodie Lee Photography. Initially her brief for the logo included a brand that would encompass her wedding business as well, however this changed during the project. This meant we were free to do a more childlike and whimsical interpretation which Jodie was quite keen on. Jodie was sold on the idea of  brightly coloured lollypops. I intially resisted the idea as I thought these would make quite a generic logo and nothing that was uniquely about her business – this is somethign I strive to achieve with each branding project.

After much brainstorming I came up with a way to execute it that would allow Jodie her lollies and would allow me to be true to my design process as well. I was able to incorporate Jodie’s initials into the lollypops, making them look like random swirls. I then simplified the lollypops into circles for the main logo and kept the lollies as a supporting brand element. One supporting element is not nearly enough so I then added logo balloons and a couple of logo flowers as well. And here they are…

Netra has been amazing to work with and I have absolutely no hesitations in recommending her to anyone who is after any type of graphic work done, whether big or small. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for me, and then some! I couldn’t imagine having such personalised service if I were to have used someone else to do all this for me – it was like working with my best friend.
