How lucky am I to photograph such gorgeous babies and children?!  Quinn was an absolute dream! At just 8 weeks old, he was such a content baby. He slept right through the second half of the session and we managed to get some shots of him asleep – in the middle of it all, he opened his eyes and stared right at me – and here it is. My favourite from the day…

His sister Lucelle was such an animated and chatty little girl. She did everything I asked of her and was simply delightful to photograph. You can just imagine the conversation in this one…

No matter how many years I’ve been a graphic designer, it still gives me a bit of a thrill to see my work out there in print. Although this is the very first time my commercial photography is in a mainstream print publication.

These are the adverts I’ve done for the ABA’s new Breastfeeding helpline, which are popping up all over the place. Featured in the advert is Jo and her gorgeous girl Jaylene. I know she’s bought these mags and put them away for when Jaylene is older so she can tell her about her 15min of fame!

Today I got to photograph this cute little guy. The weather was a bit miserable, so we were confined indoors. Lucky for me, his mum and dad had a great blue wall in their bedroom and some gorgeous wooden inspirational words hung on their feature wall. They are such a sweet family, you can really feel the love in the room. Ethan was such a daddy’s boy, listening for his voice and quieting when he spoke.

I got to photograph the captivating Summer Rae today. I worked with her mum Belinda at my old job and it was lovely to see her again and catch up. Belinda wanted to get some photos of Summer Rae in her christening outfit – so we managed to squeeze the little darling into it. It was a bit snug, and she was not entirely happy, but I was delighted with the photos we got. After the outfit, we figured it was time to get the gear off and give her some freedom and she absolutely loved that! Then we got the smiles and giggles!

I later received an email from Belinda after she saw a few of the images from the session. She said…

“Oh my…. I literally have a tear in my eye… I just fell in love with her all over again…. 
 They are absolutely amazing, you did such an awesome job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Today I got to meet the 2 week old Owen. Owen had a rough start – his lung collapsed after he was born and he was rushed to the NICU. I felt so sorry for the little guy when I saw the puncture mark on the side of his chest where they had inserted a tube (you can actually see the scar in the photos). He was on good spirits when we met and we managed to capture these for his proud mum and dad.

Simone and Martin were given a gift voucher for Aaron”s Christening. It took us a while to nail down a time that worked for us all, but when we did the results were well worth it. Aaron has the most amazingly soft, chubby, baby cheeks and was a delight to photograph!

I just LOVED this gorgeous little girl’s name – Allegra. So pretty and musical, but it sounds so strong as well. Allegra was around a month old and such a sweetheart to work with. I enjoyed patting her off to sleep and she slept well during her session - which is somewhat unusual for the babies I photograph!

Allegra’s mum Anna, decided to use one of the images from this session on her Christening invitations. It’s the one below, of her fast asleep sucking on her arm – so cute!

Today I had the distinct pleasure of photographing baby Noah. I walked into his parents house and sighed in delight. It was a photographers dream, with massive glass windows throwing the most gorgeous bright light around the room. It took some time for Noah to relax around me but once he did, there was no stopping him! It was just a delightful session all around and I love the images we got.

On the hottest day of the year – 40-something ridiculous degrees – I had the pleasure of photographing this happy smiley baby girl just before her Christening. Her big sister Bryn was equally gorgeous and looked a whole lot older than her 8 years! She was so loving and sweet to her new baby sister – it was wonderful to watch.

The Australian Breastfeeding Association asked me to shoot an image of one of my past clients to use in an upcoming marketing campaign for their new Breastfeedig Helpline. Jo and her gorgeous girl Jaylene were only too happy to help! It has come down to these two final images. Will post more as soon as I know how, when and where you will see her!
