Retouching

Netra is well established as a Photoshop nerd. She puts these skills to good use by offering a basic retouching as part of her standard custom portrait service (i.e. the removal of spots, marks and small blemishes). However in some images, a more complex fix is required and Netra prides herself on ensuring that the retouching is precise and the effect unnoticeable to the except to the trained eye – and sometimes they cant tell either!

Your photos
Netra is also able to retouch photos you may have taken youself, or those  that have been damaged or where the colour has not aged well. You may have to send through a low resolution file to enable Netra to provide you with an estimate. If you are unable to provide a low resolution file, you may have to send Netra the originals via the post, in which case insurance is a necessity. Unfortunately images that are very fuzzy, or very low resolution  (where the originals cannot be located) cannot be restored to pristine condition. There are some limitations to what can be achieved, please contact Netra if you are unsure if your photo can be enhanced.

Professional Photos
In the case of photographs captured by another professional or amateur photographer, Netra will require written consent fom that photographer to manipulate their images digitally. This is simply professional courtesy and ensures all parties abide by the Copyright Law of Australia.

Commercial Retouching
Netra also provides custom retouching for commercial applications, please contact Netra to discuss your requirements. If you are a professional photographer who wishes to include a retouching service as part of your client offering, please email netrac@optusnet.com.au for more information and commercial pricing structure.

Australian Community of Child Photographers
Netra volunteers with this notable charity organisation who provide portraits for families with very premature, seriously or terminally ill children and those who have suffered stillbirth or neo-natal loss. Netra volunteers as a designer but also as a retoucher. She is called upon to digitally remove tubing, wires and tape from little faces on photos, or in the case of stillbirths she softens skin tones and removes discolouration or bruising. If you or anyone you know is in need of this wonderful service, please visit www.acocp.org.au and contact the ACOCP representative for your state.
